Death by Hiking
Well, yesterday was my 27th birthday and so celebrate my family decided to remind me how old I'm getting. We went for an 8 mile hike around Mt. Lassen. We started at Bumpass Hell (still smell sulfer every once in a while) then went to Crumbaugh Lake (pictured below) and then we went to Mill Creek Falls. Actually it was an enjoyable hike, even though I'm really sore today. I got to spend some quiet time with the Lord along the trail and just reflect over the last year of my life. After the hike we went out for Chinese food, which after all that hiking tasted really good. Caleb and fiancee, Becky, came with us and it was awesome to get to spend the day with them.
Well, I have to do some homework and from my previous post you can tell how I feel about that. TTFN.

yes first post!! well happy b-day mike. good to know that im not the only one that's aging once a year on a set day. kinda creeped me out for a while... anyways, here is my present in the form of a random fact. toilets use on average 13.569 tons of water a year. its true. i read it in Star Magazine.
Eight miles. Now all you have to do is add one mile to the length of your birthday hike each year and by the time you're 45 you'll be a marathoner!

Happy Birthday!! yup...you're really getting up there;). hahaha, just kidding. anyway...how is everything going for you guys?? I started school 4 days after i arrived so i've been in it for a while. I'm having fun being with my old class again(the whole 9 other people!) We're going to be leaving to go to the chineese church pretty soon. we'll see if i get anything out of it;). haha..there are some missionaries that pastor the church though who we haven't seen yet so i'm excited. anyway, i guess i'll go. ~Emily

I think he is just doing this to bother us...
he said he was going to put up a picture of his redecorated house, but when he got home from church, the car wash guys had cleaned it up. so obviously he couldn't put up a picture. but that doesn't mean he couldn't post...yeah, mike, we're waiting!

I think we should just start talking and talking and talking on here, see how long he can take it. Then again, he might just ignore us like he usually does...
