vacation 1.2

It's hard to believe that I've been away from Redding for seven days already. I miss home. Humidity sucks.

Today the fam went to Chicago. It's a beautiful city. We went to the aquarium (it was better than the one in Monterey - it had more variety) and we took a boat tour of the city (I really enjoyed this part - the guide was funny and knew lots of cool facts.) Between those two things we mainly walked around and looked at some different buildings, like the Sears tower.

Tomorrow, Mikaela and I are going to spend the day with her aunt. Then we have Friday off - maybe. We might go back into Chicago on Friday instead of Saturday. There's supposed to be a big sailboat race on Saturday.

I miss all of you guys already. I also really miss playing volleyball; I hope you guys did good tonight.

See you all at Family Camp.

I've always wanted to go to Chicago too (I don't know why) though it is supposed to be a fairly dirty city. Keep having fun Mike, I'll envy you while I'm here doing homework. :p

Did you actually go UP the Sear's Tower? I went there a year or two ago and we didn't go up because my grandma was freaked out that some terrorist would crash into it while we where up there (to tell you the total truth...I wasn't too keen on going up either since it was only like a year or two after 9/11). Instead, we went up the big black tall building. I forgot what it was called. Yeah...anyway...we miss you, Mike...keep having fun! By the way...I like their aquarium, too. I don't think my Grandpa did, though...but that's another story...

Help me Dude, I'm lost.

I was searching for Elvis and somehow ended up in your blog, but you know I'm sure I saw Elvis in the supermarket yesterday.

No honest really, he was right there in front of me, next to the steaks singing "Love me Tender".

He said to me (his lip was only slightly curled) "Boy, you need to get yourself a shiny, new plasmatv to go with that blue suede sofa of yours.

But Elvis said I, In the Ghetto nobody has a plasma tv .

Dude I'm All Shook Up said Elvis. I think I'll have me another cheeseburger then I'm gonna go home and ask Michael Jackson to come round and watch that waaaay cool surfing scene in Apocalypse Now on my new plasma tv .

And then he just walked out of the supermarket singing. . .

"You give me love and consolation,
You give me strength to carry on "

Strange day or what? :-)
